EIC Women Leadership Programme – Matching
Women-led companies are on the rise. The participation of women in deep tech is not only a matter of fairness but an important case of using Europe’s full potential of excellence in science and businesses. To further support the role of women in innovation and tech, the European Innovation Council (EIC) is, in partnership with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), offering a skills enhancement and networking programme for women researchers and entrepreneurs, the Women Leadership Programme (WLP).
The programme is open to female researchers and entrepreneurs from the EIC Community and EIT Supernovas. Each cohort consists of both online and physical trainings, led by high-profile experienced trainers who challenge participants’ leadership approaches with inspiring case studies and use participatory approaches to encourage active engagement.
We are now happy to welcome you to the EIC WLP Mentoring scheme! In this platform we are gathering both Mentors and Mentees - the selected female participants of the EIC WLP - to facilitate their connection and establish the Mentor-Mentee relation.
FOR MENTEES
Congratulations for being selected to participate in the third cohort of EIC Women Leadership Programme (WLP)! In this platform you will be able to go through our rich list of potential Mentors and establish a connection with the person that will be mentoring you until the end of your participation in the programme.
What's in it for you as mentee?
- Select an experienced and trusted Mentor from a great pool of reputable professionals;
- Receive valuable inputs and advice to support you in career progression;
- Share your ambitions and fears with someone that has been in a similar position;
- Grow your professional network;
- Expand your personal and professional perspectives.
Please remember to create a detailed profile so the Mentor can get to know you and understand what your motivations and needs are.
FOR MENTORS
Congratulations for being selected for the pool of Mentors of the EIC Women Leadership Programme (WLP)! In this platform you should create a complete and detailed profile, providing enough information for your potential mentee to evaluate if you’d be a good match for her. Afterwards, you will establish a connection with the person that you will be mentoring until the end of her participation in the programme.
What’s in it for you as mentor?

- Play an active role in the EIC Community, Europe’s largest community of entrepreneurs and researchers;
- Be at the forefront of increasing the role of women in innovation and tech;
- Develop your personal leadership and mentoring styles.
Note: Mentoring is provided pro-bono.
MATCHING PROCESS
- Participants (Mentees) should register, create their profiles and get in contact with Mentors they are interested in working with in order to schedule the “chemistry calls”. Please note that you should limit your number to 10 calls in total.
- Chemistry calls will take place for Mentees to understand who they will be choosing as Mentor
- Mentees should provide their final decision on the Mentor they would like to be partnered with via email to the EIC WLP Team until 18 April 2023 (email: thais.soares@eura-ag.de).
More information on the steps of the matching process will be provided to you via email.
Level of commitment
We’re expecting Mentors and Mentees to dedicate a minimum of 12 hours in total during the 3rd cohort to maintain a close mentorship relation during this programme.
